A Weekend in the Rockies

We spent the weekend driving through Wyoming and Colorado, playing shows on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Started with a show at Keg and Cork in Casper...

...followed by a night at the Alibi Pub in Laramie.

And finally, we wrapped up our weekend with a performance in the Jungle Room at the Mercury Cafe in downtown Denver.

All in all, it was a good time!  Thanks to everyone who came out.

Montana, Week 1

We flew into Bozeman, MT on Tuesday night - Courtney's hometown.  We've been staying with the Yovich family in their home overlooking the Bridger Mountains.  We've played three great shows so far:  Wild Joe's Coffee Spot in downtown Bozeman on Friday night, Bozeman's SLAM Festival mainstage on Saturday morning, and then we drove to Montana's capitol city for a couple sets at Lewis and Clark Tap Room on Saturday night.  We are so lucky to have had a great turnout at all our shows and fantastic reception from lots of kind Montanans.

It's nice to have some free time, too, up here in this beautiful area.  We've gotten to see old friends and explore the town a bit.  This morning, our good friend and fellow musician Jake Fleming hosted a free community yoga class outside in the park, so we got a nice workout in.  Tonight we're taking advantage of a night off to go listen to some great music - the Bridger Mountain Big Band at Colonel Black's.

This weekend, it's off to Wyoming and Colorado for shows in Casper, Laramie, and Denver.  Stay tuned for more!

Our lovely crowd at Lewis and Clark Brewery, Helena, MT.

Back in the Game

Settling in after our southern tour.  We spent yesterday and today in the studio, getting some demos done!  We're so fortunate to have awesome friends to work with.  We've been working in the home studio of Dani Carroll, an incredibly talented songwriter and artist, along with being a fantastic engineer.  (Plus, she has a really cute baby.)  The tracks are coming out great!

We played a great show at the Millennium Maxwell House.  Thanks to everyone who came out!  We're also really looking forward to a Nashville Unleashed show next Saturday.  More info at the Nashville Unleashed website and our ReverbNation page.  We'd love to see some familiar faces there!  Tickets are $15.

After that, it's off to the Northwest for a few weeks of gigs in Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado.  We're so excited to be exploring a new part of the country and sharing our music with new people.  If you are in the area, check out our schedule and come see a show!  More dates to come soon, so stay tuned.

Austin, TX

We've been here in Austin for a week now, and are feeling incredibly productive!  We had a great show Wednesday night, with an amazing audience packed into the Hudson's living room.  Thank you, Chad and Natasha, for holding such an awesome event!  Everyone has been so generous.

Last night, we went to an open mic downtown to play a few songs... which turned into booking a last minute gig on Wednesday!  Any Austin fans can come see us tomorrow night (July 2) at the Austin Ale House from 7:30-9 PM.

Thursday, it's off to Oklahoma City for a weekend of workshops and a house concert.  You can check out our schedule on ReverbNation.

Here's some more photos from the tour.  Click through to see them all!

Day Six

Despite hornet stings, traffic jams, minimal sleep, and rainfall of biblical proportions, we made it to Austin, TX last night.  We've racked up just over 1,000 miles in the past five days of travel, so we were glad to finally be able to settle in somewhere.  Gen's sister lives in Austin, and she and her husband have been kind enough to open their home to us for the next week.

After a good night's rest, we're gearing up for a house concert here tonight.  Should be a great turnout and a great show!  We're all looking forward to spending some time over the next week exploring the city and the venues here.

More photos and videos from NOLA and Austin to come!  Stay tuned.

Monroeville, AL

We kicked off this tour with an incredible show last night in Monroeville, AL, hometown of Harper Lee (To Kill a Mockingbird) and Truman Capote.  We actually got to perform in the Otha Lee Biggs Amphitheater, on the set for the TKAM play the town puts on every year.  The crowd was wonderful and the people here are so kind!  It was a great gig.  We're hoping to be back in the fall for a songwriter's festival.

With the help of Kevin Clements, the NSAI coordinator in Monroeville, we also put on a songwriter's workshop today.  When you live in a place like Nashville, that's so over-saturated with music, it's refreshing to hear some new voices.

A huge thank you to Dawn Brewton, the town's events coordinator, who brought us here and housed us during our stay.  We appreciate the hospitality that she, and the entire community, have shown us.  Thank you, Monroeville!

It's off to New Orleans in a few days.  We'll be posting photos and videos from the tour soon.  Stay tuned!
